Does S/A/B/C/D/E work the same for unique weapons and normal weapons?

Does S/A/B/C/D/E work the same for unique weapons and normal weapons?

For example if a Unique has an A on magic, and the Crescent weapon has A on magic, do they both scale the same per point in magic?

The letters s/a/b/c/d/e is only a rough translation of the damage multiplier.
For example; the large sword of moonlight will have an S-rating throughout the upgrade path, but the real damage multiplier varies from about 1 non upgraded to 1.3 max upgraded.
The damage delivered is also dependent on the base damage of the weapon, even if the damage multiplier is the same.

But in a set situation with 2 equal weapons, both damage and multiplier wise, I would think yes.

for the most part yes. Because they multipliers are based off of base weapon damage they can be a bit deceiving though.

For instance a DBS has only a B while a Crushing Great sword has an S rating, however a DBS +5 will always outdamage a crushing +5 because it has such a high base damage
