Hey I was just wondering…
I was doing a little pvp a few knights ago and invaded sumbodys world. As far as I could see, he was wearing the shaman's armor, DSS, and had sumtype of dagger equiped.
I was using a Blessed mirdian hammer +5 with 50 faith. the dual was pretty slugish…back and forth. So instead of keeping him targeted i deceded to untarget and try to sprint behind
him to get sum backstabs in. Well, needless to say it worked…and I proceeded to get 3 more backstabs on him back to back to back to back, Yet he took no damage and remained at
what looked like 50% life the whole time. He eventually got away and backstabbed me which oneshot me.
I sent him a msg question why he took no dmg whatsoever from the backstabs but his response was " happens all the time, get used to it LOL"
so anyone have any ideas what happend.

You back stab him. Due to lag, he doesn't perceive your back stab. He rolls, and as he begins his roll, his end of the game picks up that he's been back stabbed. Because in your screen you actually landed the back stab, he goes into the back stab animation as soon as his end of the game receives that information. However, you are invincible at the beginning of a roll, so he takes no damage.
Lag Skill > Lag
I've seen some laggers that actually know how to control the lag to their advantage, IE my friend. He lags his internet by uploading, and he uses the lag so you cant hurt him even if you hit him 3 times in a row, and he some how double back stabs ?o.0?

In my personal opinion, that is not skill at all. It's just using a lagswitch to give yourself an advantage that renders the other player completely defenseless and vulnerable, no matter how skilled they are. It's one of the two things I consider cheap in DS is to use lagswitches. The other is to use glitches, IE Running Firestorm.
Those two things you mention aren't cheap….. there cheating!
I never guessed players used lag switches in DS. I thought they were used mainly in the COD series. Hmmmm. And another point, is there more natural lag from say U.K v's USA matches than an all US match ?

Yea thats pretty retarded :( I dont know if its just me but the lag seems horrible in Demon's Souls. One second the player is in front of me…then its like they teleport behind me to backstab me. I get so furious lol
