Rapier
Note: A special ability of all Spear and Piercing Sword class weapons is that you can do a basic [R1] attack while keeping a shield raised and blocking [L1], unlike all other weapons where performing an attack automatically lowers your shield.

1 The Damage stat dictates how much damage the weapon does. Where the Damage stats for an weapon are X/Y/Z:
- X is Physical Damage
- Y is Magical Damage
- Z is Fire Damage
The Mail Breaker does 70 Physical Damage.
2 The Requirement stat concerns how high various skills must be in order to wield the weapon. Where the Requirement stats for an weapon are W/X/Y/Z:
- W is the Strength required
- X is the Dexterity required
- Y is the Magic required
- Z is the Faith required
The Mail Breaker requires 6 Strength to wield.
3 The AddedParam. rating indicate the level of bonus you receive based on the associated skill when you use a weapon. This rating can be S, A, B, C, D, or E (in order from most to least bonus for the associated skill).
The Mail Breaker provides a bonus based on strength at a rating of E and a bonus based on dexterity at a rating of D.
in the Asia version of Demon's Soul, Rapiers are mistranslated as "Knife" type weapons. Japan's version still refers as Rapiers (刺突剣)
